Biography
The Person Behind the Care
Growing up in Calgary, Vanessa developed a passion for sports, particularly softball and snowboarding. Along with the benefits came injuries, and through her own recovery she experienced the impact of chiropractic care—an experience that inspired her to help others move and feel better.
She began her academic journey at the University of Calgary studying Kinesiology, then went on to earn her Doctorate in Chiropractic Studies from the University of Western States in Portland, graduating Cum Laude. During that time, she also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology.
Her approach to care is holistic and individualized. She works with patients of all ages and activity levels, using a combination of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, dry needling/clinical acupuncture, and functional exercise to support recovery and long-term health. Her goal is to help patients return to the activities they enjoy and maintain an active lifestyle.
While in Portland, she developed an interest in rock climbing, which informs her work with active individuals and sport-related injuries. She has a particular interest in treating head and neck conditions, especially TMJ dysfunction, and values collaborating with dentists to provide well-rounded, effective care.
