Our Commitment to Your Privacy

The Physio Studio Health and Wellness Center ("Physio Studio Health", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian and Alberta privacy laws, including Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

This policy covers this website only. Information you share during your care at our clinics — including your health records — is managed under our clinic privacy practices and the professional obligations of our regulated practitioners.

Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, or that is needed to run the website securely:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, the service and clinic location you're interested in, a subject, and your message.
  • Practitioner referral form: the details you enter are checked in your browser only. The online referral form does not currently send or store any information — please send referrals by fax, email or phone.
  • Phone, email and fax: any information you choose to share when you contact us directly.
  • Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which are used to keep the website secure and running.

Please don't include detailed medical information in the contact form. We'll discuss your health in a private conversation or at your appointment.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your questions and help you book the right service, clinician and location.
  • To follow up with you by phone or email about your enquiry.
  • To protect the website from spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Online Booking

Online appointments are booked through Jane (JaneApp), a secure third-party practice management platform. When you book through Jane, the information you provide is collected and stored by Jane on our behalf and is governed by Jane's own privacy policy and security practices.

Service Providers We Use

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website. They only receive the information needed to provide their service:

  • Resend — delivers contact form messages to our clinic inbox.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — checks that contact form submissions come from a real person. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Google Maps — shows our clinic locations on the website. Embedded maps are provided by Google and may collect information about your interaction with the map.
  • Jane (JaneApp) — online appointment booking.
  • Vercel — hosts this website.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside of Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. Third-party features such as Google reCAPTCHA and embedded Google Maps may set their own cookies when they load. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some features (such as the contact form's reCAPTCHA check) may not work without them.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this website. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we work to protect your information and limit access to those who need it.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep contact form messages and related correspondence only as long as needed to respond to you and for reasonable business or legal purposes, and then securely delete them.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it (subject to legal or contractual limits). To make a request, contact us using the details below. We'll respond within the time required by law.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
